Netflix Chooses Perfect Performer for Bentham in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is geared up to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, though the real showdown won’t take place until season 3, and a cherished, popular member has now been chosen.
Netflix announced Tuesday that Cole Escola will appear in the One Piece cast for the third season and will portray Mr. 2. The role can use their power to morph into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is non-binary and goes by they/them, will depict a rendition of that character re-envisioned as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the live-action show, unlike the initial comic and anime.
The new cast member will work alongside a number of new cast members set to bring Baroque Works to reality, featuring chief Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who will appear as the cast as the monarch of Alabasta.
Even though the role is a key figure of the group, the character will be introduced in One Piece the third season. Given the next season set to cover the Little Garden segment, this signals a notable change in the timing of the character’s debut, one that could suggest further changes to the narrative framework.
Their mix of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a standout choice for the character. Along with their current animated role in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded roles.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is due to premiere for its season two on March 10th, 2026.
